III. Core features of the product
Designed specifically for automotive EPB electronic parking brake, it supports two mainstream EPB schemes: cable-puller and motor gear unit MGU, controlling the left and right rear wheel handbrake motor STMicroelectronics.
Only gate pre-drive, power MOSFET external, engineers can choose power tube according to motor current, suitable for different torque handbrake.
Complete signal chain: differential amplifier + multi-channel ADC, directly collect motor current and voltage, chip internal complete signal conditioning, reduce MCU burden.
SPI with CRC check, lots of self-diagnosis BIST, meet the requirements of automotive functional safety, fault status reported to the master through SPI.
The EPB button can wake up the chip in sleep mode, meeting the demand of holding the handbrake when the engine is off.
Two high and low side drives are included, which can directly drive the EPB button indicator.
⚠️Important reminder: There is no power MOSFET inside the chip, and 8 N-channel power transistors must be externally connected to drive the motor. It cannot be directly connected to the motor load.
