Main functions

High-side current detection: The voltage drop across the shunt resistor Rs at the positive terminal (high-end) of the power supply does not require disconnecting the GND loop and does not interfere with the load ground, which is a core advantage.

Independent power supply and common mode voltage: The power supply for the chip can be different from the bus voltage being measured. With a bus voltage of 36V, the chip can use a 5V power supply to measure the current on the high-voltage bus.

Single resistor gain setting: By externally connecting only one load resistor RL, the output gain can be set, resulting in a simple circuit and a reduced BOM.

Current output architecture: The output current is proportional to the voltage across the sampling resistor, which is noise-resistant and suitable for long-distance transmission.

Unipolar measurement: It can only measure unidirectional current and cannot detect bidirectional current.

Comparison with the same series: INA169, with the common mode voltage increased to 60V, while the other circuit logic remains consistent.
