The IRA‑S200ST01 is an IRA‑S series economical TO‑5 package pyroelectric (PIR) passive infrared sensor launched by Murata, Japan. Relying on Murata's mature piezoelectric ceramic sensing material and mixed-signal IC process, it focuses on human body movement detection and indoor security sensing, and is an infrared component with extremely high versatility in consumer-level sensing devices.

The sensor works based on the pyroelectric effect of the pyroelectric ceramic crystal: the human body emits 10μm long-wave infrared radiation; When the moving human body enters the sensing area, the infrared heat received by the chip changes, and a weak voltage signal will be generated at both ends of the ceramic crystal to identify the moving object.

The built-in optical filter can filter out visible light and sunlight interference, allowing only human wavelength infrared light to pass through, thereby avoiding the problem of false triggering caused by light and sunlight.
