Features

The SCH16T‑series offers industry‑leading performance and reliability in a single‑package 6‑DoF MEMS IMU, designed for harsh industrial environments. The series consists of three variants:‑ SCH16T‑K01 – Versatile high‑performance general‑purpose IMU‑ SCH16T‑K10 – Extended gyroscope range variant for high‑angular‑rate measurements‑ SCH16T‑K20 – New‑generation device with significantly improved gyroscope and accelerometer performance

The SCH16T‑series is built upon a market‑proven stable MEMS platform equipped with state‑of‑the‑art MEMS gyroscopes. The wide‑range accelerometers implemented in SCH16T‑K01 and SCH16T‑K10 deliver automotive‑qualified performance even under harsh operating conditions.

Compared with K01 and K10, the new accelerometer MEMS inside SCH16T‑K20 achieves reduced temperature bias drift and cuts noise density by half. The new MEMS sensor adopts the double‑differential measurement principle used in the existing SCA3400 and legacy SCA103T sensor families. Furthermore, the gyroscope calibration of K20 is fine‑tuned for lower temperature‑induced bias drift versus other variants.

The SCH16T platform has been rigorously validated against a test suite based on AEC‑Q100 Grade 1 (−40 °C to +125 °C), ensuring stable operation across a wide temperature range.

All SCH16T‑series sensors feature market‑leading self‑diagnostic capability, making them suitable for safety‑relevant applications. In addition, software‑ and pin‑compatibility across the family enables convenient drop‑in swapping within one product line and reduces overall costs.

Applications

SCH16T devices target applications requiring high performance under severe environmental conditions.

Typical use‑cases include:‑ High‑precision Inertial Measurement Units (IMU)‑ Inertial navigation and positioning‑ Drone flight controllers‑ Dynamic tilt measurement‑ High‑precision robot control and UAV systems‑ Humanoid robot control‑ Camera stabilization
